Constitution Resources for Constitution Day

Aug 31
1 min read

Hey there teacher,

Constitution Day is coming up on September 17, and it is the perfect day to bring history and government into the classroom. I've got a few resources that will help students understand the need for a Constitution and what it does for us today!

Students read about the history and organization of the Constitution while writing their own Constitution as a class!

This is great for classroom management!

Students learn about the end of the Revolutionary War and the period that led to the creation of the US Constitution through a reader's theater!

Students model the roles and responsibilities of the three branches of government through hands on activities!

Students read about the Federalist Papers with this fluency read.

Students read about why the USA needed the Constitution through this fluency read on the Articles of Confederation.

Because 'We the People' is much easier to understand when students aren't learning about the Constitution through reading and hands on activities!
